The Friends of Juniper Hall gathered in the historic Templeton Room at Juniper Hall welcomed with a warming open fire burning in the fireplace, before heading for the dining room for our traditional Christmas lunch. Much animated chatter and laughter as we savoured the three-course meal laid on by the centre’s lovely catering staff. We welcomed our newest members who mingled with others who have supported the field studies activities at Juniper Hall for many decades. It’s always fascinating to listen to other members’ tales of their links with the Hall – some attended courses here, some worked here, some brought their children or grandchildren here – all share a desire to see the centre continue to thrive and inspire its young students. Early December and the Centre was still vibrant with the sound of excited students – heading off for a river study visit with enthusiasm despite the somewhat wet weather!
