The Friends of Juniper Hall raises funds to support projects at Juniper Hall that are beyond those that can be covered by the Field Studies Council centrally. Below are some examples of the projects that have been funded by the Friends over the past 35 years.
Small mammal traps
In 2023, the Friends were pleased to be able to purchase some live mammal traps to enhance the teaching resources on offer to young students at Juniper Hall.

Teaching Pond
A large new teaching pond was created in 2022 with funding from the Friends of Juniper Hall, and donations in memory of two of its former members, Roger Chapman and Tony Hoare.

Dining Tables and Benches
The Friends of Juniper Hall purchased new dining room tables and benches for Juniper Hall in 2022 – to enable all the students to have their meals at the same time. This also reduces the demands on catering and cleaning staff time.

Main House Refurbishment
Significant funds were raised to enable a refurbishment of the West Wing of Juniper Hall in the mid 1990s. More recently, a full refurbishment of the Juniper Hall main house accommodation in 2020/21 was supported by the Friends.

Juniper Hall Orchard
The Friends of Juniper Hall were among those who sponsored fruit trees in the now beautifully maturing orchard in the grounds of Juniper Hall.

Computers and Comfy Chairs
Over the years, the Friends of Juniper Hall have provided funds for numerous enhancements to the facilities at Juniper Hall including comfy chairs for the Royal Oak room, improvements to the visitor common room, a teaching whiteboard, redecoration of the dining room, curtains for the Lady Templeton room, and purchase of new computers for the students.

Conversion of Coach House
The first project supported by the Friends of Juniper Hall was the conversion of the old Coach House into classrooms, completed in 1993.
